Urological cancer screening
Early detection can save lives: protect yourself with regular urological cancer screening.

Early detection saves lives
Urological cancer screening plays a crucial role in the early detection of cancers in the urogenital tract. Regular examinations often allow tumors to be detected at an early stage, when the chances of recovery are particularly high. Men over the age of 45 in particular should visit a urologist every year to detect any changes in good time.
Here, too, I can offer my expertise in an advisory capacity.
Which cancers are examined?
As part of urological cancer screening, prostate cancer, bladder cancer and testicular cancer in particular are examined. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in Germany. A simple palpation of the prostate and, if necessary, a PSA blood test provide initial indications of a possible disease. Bladder and kidney cancer can also be diagnosed at an early stage using special tests. Talk to your urologist.
How does an examination work?
The screening examination usually begins with a detailed discussion about your medical history and any symptoms. This is followed by a physical examination and laboratory tests, such as the PSA test, which is used for the early detection of prostate cancer. If disease is suspected, further imaging procedures such as ultrasound should be used.
Many urological cancers initially develop unnoticed and only cause symptoms at an advanced stage. Screening can detect the smallest changes at an early stage, which significantly improves treatment outcomes and often makes invasive procedures unnecessary.
As soon as these examinations carried out by external colleagues are available, we will be on hand to advise you on the evaluation.
