Early cancer detection
Prevention saves lives: Detecting cancer early and treating it effectively.

Why is early cancer detection so important?
Regular examinations for the early detection of cancer are of great importance, even if there are no symptoms. The earlier cancer is detected, the better the chances of successful and gentle treatment. Screening examinations help to detect dangerous changes in the body at an early stage and to react quickly. Nowadays, a cancer diagnosis is often no longer a hopeless verdict – many types of cancer are easily treatable and curable if detected in time.

Who should have regular check-ups?
Men aged 45 and over in particular should undergo regular cancer screening. If you have a family history of prostate cancer or other urological tumors, it is advisable to have an examination from the age of 40. Smokers and people with chronic bladder infections also have an increased risk of certain cancers and should undergo appropriate screening tests.
Advice/second opinion
As an experienced urologist, I offer you comprehensive and gentle advice/second opinion on early cancer detection. Your urologist will take the necessary steps, including a digital rectal examination (DRU) as well as modern diagnostic procedures such as the PSA test (prostate-specific antigen) and ultrasound examinations. In some cases, further imaging, such as MRI, may also be necessary.
