How often should follow-up examinations take place? (second opinion)
The frequency of follow-up examinations depends on the type of cancer treated and your individual risk. In the first few years after treatment, more frequent check-ups are often required, which can become less frequent over time in consultation with your urologist. Regular monitoring is crucial in order to detect relapses or possible concomitant diseases at an early stage.
Both physical and mental stress often occur after cancer treatment. Symptoms such as fatigue, incontinence or erectile dysfunction are not uncommon. We can advise you on finding suitable solutions to make your everyday life easier. The psychological challenges that can arise after cancer should also be taken into account through further treatment by a specialist.
